Message from PERDOSKI President
Dear colleagues,
Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology (PERDOSKI) will hold its 13th Annual Scientific Meeting in the City of culture, Yogyakarta, this year, in conjunction with 12th Asia Pasific Environmental and Occupational Dermatology Symposium. The theme of this symposium is ‘The role of Dermatovenereology in Environmental and Occupational Health'. This symposium will cover diverse topics in environmental and occupational dermatology including new discoveries and most up to date advances in management. This also presents a unique opportunity for the dermatological professions to enhance regional and international colaboration in this field. This program is jointly organized by the APEODS and PERDOSKI.
Active participation of all study groups during this annual scientific meeting is highly appreciated in order for all our members to be able to update their knowledge and skill.
In addition, social program and gathering events are just equally important to strengthen bonding among members. Hopefully everyone can also enjoy Yogyakarta's well-known unique ethnic and historic cultures.
Last but not least, I would like to convey my highest gratitude and appreciation to all speakers, organizing committee and those who have supported and contributed in making this symposium a succesfull one.

Message from APEODS 12 - PIT XIII Chairman
Dear colleagues,
Welcome to the 12th Asian Pacific Environmental & Occupational Dermatology Symposium (APEODS XII) which is joined with the 13th Annual Meeting of Indonesian Society of Dermatology and Venereology (PIT-PERDOSKI XIII) held in Yogyakarta Indonesia next October 23-26, 2013. On behalf of the organizing committee, I would like to extend our warmest greetings to all colleagues and friends.
The theme of this meeting is “The Role of Dermatology in Occupational and Environmental Health” with the hope that as dermatologists we have to demonstrate to the community that we are much concerned with the health problems related to occupational and environments. The fast growing industries and the impacts in environment should encourage us to participate in solving these problems. Although the focus of the meeting is occupational and environmental dermatology, we have organized the scientific sessions in four days meeting as such that covering from basic science and clinical updates in dermatology and venereology in large extend as this is a combined meeting. We hope this have benefits for Indonesian as well as for International delegates.
Yogyakarta is a city of culture, city of education, city of struggle for Indonesia. We believe it will be one of your unforgettable visits to Indonesia. In addition to the scientific activities, you may enjoy to witness the classical heritages such as Sultan’s Palace, Taman Sari water-castle, Prambanan and Borobudur temples, as well as natural views such as Merapi mountain and clusters of beautiful white sand beaches in Gunung Kidul.
Eventually, we are looking forward to having you all gathering in this congress and to enjoying the beauty of Yogyakarta city and surroundings.
